I'm totally loving pin dots right now!
Check out these pin dot ramekins at Crate & Barrel!

I've been wanting the Swiss Dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug for a long time. Here's a video showing how it works. Gorgeous, no?
And I want this apron from Anthropoogie really, really bad!

USE YOUR STASH - Felt

I still have a lot of Fancy Pants felt. The package I bought contains blue and pink colored felt. Sometimes I just want to alter the color a bit. Make it look fresh. So for this layout I decided to use glimmer mist to alter the color. This began as a pale pink felt and I sprayed it with Tiger Lily glimmer mist. I also inked the edges just slightly to help them pop off the page.

Unfortunately, this is a layout that when I started it I loved the way it was looking but by the end my feelings are lukewarm on it. Next time I will try to paint the felt and see how that turns out.

USE YOUR STASH - Bling, Die Cut Papers, Rub Ons

Minus the not-so-great photo, this is one of my favorite layouts in awhile. I just love the simplicity of it, yet it is elegant with all of the little touches. I hand cut the red flowers from Making Memories paper. I stamped the journaling block twice on kraft cardstock to create the title elements. I added the bling around the chipboard button, and two areas of the journaling strip.

Loving Jenni Bowlin and Hero Arts. Not a fan of Glitz rub ons...they are shiny and tend to peel up easily. For rub ons...try Hambly, Scenic Route and Tinkering Ink were two of my faves and unfortunately both of them have discontinued their manufacturing. Wah!

FRIDAY FAVES - Christine Middlecamp

I have been neglecting my blog reading lately. One of the blogs I like to visit is "Retrospection" by Christine Middlecamp. Christine's work is stunning. I love her color combinations and her great eye for detail. I had so many things I loved that it was impossible for me to share just one here. I highly recommend you visiting her blog. Eye candy galore.

I'm going to try not to wait so long inbetween visits to her blog again. I could use the constant burst of inspiration.

THURSDAY THOUGHTS - Hannah Montana Had a Bad Hair Day

Hannah Montana showed up at my house for Christmas having a really bad hair day. I hope she doesn't mind me posting this.
I got my first kits from Studio Calico yesterday so I had to play with them! More details are in the Studio Calico gallery here.
And here are a few cards I made using Glimmer Mists...wish you could see the sparkle in real life...absolutely gorgeous. This dreary Wisconsin weather doesn't provide good sunlight for photographing them.
These won't be going in my shop - they have flaws - but they are great concept cards that I will make again for the shop.

Finally, I've been tweaking my blog. Sorry about all of the cyber dust, but I am finished now. How do you like the new look? If there's anyone who knows how to add color behind the blog banner so that it's not white on the right-hand side, please let me know. I've had enough fun with html for this week.

We got another 8" (or so) of snow today and it's been freezing. I took the day off to play with my scrap stuff and stayed in my pj's all day...shhhh!

I think that's about it for the moment....next week hoping to have Wednesday Words for you. I've been slacking! But I have some great ideas to get me started. Ta ta!

USE YOUR STASH - Flowers, Brads, Buttons and Glimmer Mist

I went nuts with the Glimmer Mist on this one...just love that stuff! Also used up a ton of Prima flowers, and miscellaneous brads and buttons.

The title was created with Heidi Swapp letter masks. I placed them on white cardstock, traced around them with black marker and then sprayed glimmer mist over the page before removing the letters. This particular page got a bit messy because I sprayed a lot all at once and some of the ink seeped under the masks. It is always a good idea to spray lightly and let dry a bit between coats.

Title: Gorgeous

Supplies:
Cardstock (Bazzill)
Masks (Heidi Swapp)
Glimmer Mist (Tattered Angels)
Flowers (Prima)
Rub Ons (BasicGrey)
Crepe Paper Ribbon (Jenni Bowlin)
Brads (Making Memories)
Other: buttons, brads, disco glitter
