THURSDAY THOUGHTS - Life Is Good

I had a weekend full of family. I had my brother and his family over for dinner on Saturday. It wasn't planned until later on that morning and since we are both busy people it was wonderful that it worked out. I made a HUGE meatloaf, mashed potatoes and broccoli. We had some absolutely sinful cakes and coffee for dessert. There was a lot of laughs and just the wonderful comfort I get from having my family around me. We played Smart Ass (trivia game) and things got a little crazy as they tend to do, and there was a lot of laughter.

My niece had an interesting story to share with me. She and a friend had played with the Ouija board recently and she asked about my sister. The spirit they were communicating with was not my sister and she was also not in the room at the time. The freaky thing is that the spirit said my sister's name as well as my brothers and myself. My niece also asked if she was proud of us (naming us individually) and for me it spelled "LOTS" as for my brothers "YES." That made me feel sooo good! There are so many questions I have as to why she chose to leave us and I've been thinking a lot about whether or not she even thought of me that day. It hurts to have so many things left unsaid, and forever unknown. That one little confirmation felt like gold to me.

Now, I've used a Ouija board a few times and I do not like them. I think they are BAD NEWS but my niece seemed to have a very positive and factually accurate experience with it. It sure makes me think about trying it again as well. What have your experiences been with it?

My kids are weird....my son went outside to ride his bike and skateboard yesterday. He almost always "forgets" to put on a jacket or any other cold weather gear no matter the temperature and instead had a long-sleeved sweatshirt and insisted he was "fine" and not cold even though it was only 30-some degrees. After awhile though I couldn't hear him anymore so I went to see what he was up to and here he was sweeping out the driveway and later raking leaves in our yard. HE IS 7! He told me when it was lunchtime that he was just being helpful. I said that it looked like he'd gotten a lot done and he said "Yeah, I have about 2 1/2 inches left." LOL!!! My daughter had joined in at the end too. I had to count my blessings for such wonderful children...life is good

Hi Penny - It's Maria from SF site! I really love your blog and check it out every few days. I wish I could get mine to look so good. Need practice I guess...

Anyway about the Ouigi Board - I agree, they are BAD news. Anytime you hear of spirits bothering or harrassing people, it always comes out that they dabbled in the occult in some way. I truly believe in demons and evil spirits and I think those type of things are definitely conduits - they use them to get to you. Sounds crazy, but I actually know people who this has happened to. I wouldn't get involved, even tho it's tempting because of your sister. But really, how do you know it's really her that's being channeled? Anyway, that's my opinion. Keep up the great work on your blog. You are a really talented lady!
